Ingredients

  • 2 Shanks Prairie Street Veal Osso Buco
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon non-dairy pareve butter
  • 1 tablespoon curry paste
  • 3 cloves garlic, whole
  • 1 cup dry kosher red wine
  • 2 cups beef stock
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 1 white onion, diced
  • 2 Roma tomatoes, diced
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. Tie veal osso buco with butcher twine to keep meat on the bone. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Dredge in flour and set aside.
  4. Heat olive oil in a heavy pot over medium heat; sear veal shanks on both sides. Remove and set aside.
